Paste Special Transpose Error

I use copy/Paste Special/Transpose quite often.

I have a spreadsheet with an area of A1:HI5202.

When select cell A5203 and try and copy/Paste Special/Transpose it give me an error saying"The information cannot be pasted because the copy area and Paste area are not the same size and shape. Try one of the following...Click a single cell and then paste; Select a rectangle that's the same size and shape, and then paste."

If I select a smaller number of rows it works.

Is there a maximum number or rows that can be copied and transposed?
